Do you need encouragement? Hopefully some Christian brother or sister will be a Barnabas and lift your spirits with his or her words. But what if instead of encouraging words you are more deeply wounded with hurtful words?
      David was about to be stoned by the people of God in 1 Samuel 30:6. Apparently, no one encouraged him with kind words. So, David “encouraged himself in the Lord his God” (1 Samuel 30:6). Let God encourage you with His Word if no one is encouraging you with his or her words. Read these Words from God and let Him encourage you: Rom. 8:28; 1 Cor. 10:13; Phil. 4:13; and Prov. 3:5-6.
